I have not really watch many foreign films, but I do need to see the Seven Samurai movie though. Is the scene from The Matrix? That’s probably not the right answer though.
Great review! It feels like they played up the horror when marketing the film to foreign countries, I don’t know.. I never expected it to be very scary and it wasn’t. I really loved the look of trolls! The Norwegian film industry is tiny, so I was left feeling rather impressed with the CGI etc. I also loved that they drew inspiration for the trolls from the illustrations of Theodor Kittelsen.
That’s what I loved the most about this film, the way the trolls looked and the story behind them. They did a fantastic job with the folklore of the trolls. I’m definitely going to watch this one again. Thanks for the great comment!
